With their WBBL Championship title already renewed, Sevenoaks Suns will now try to defend another piece of silverware after booking a third consecutive appearance at The O2 for the benecos WBBL Play-Off Final.

Once again, they will face Leicester Riders in the season climax on Sunday 19 May, having brushed aside post-season rookies Durham Palatinates with ease on Bank Holiday Monday afternoon.

Turning point – There wasn’t one as Suns caught fire right from the tip-off and raced out of sight before Durham could get any kind of decent foothold in the contest.

Key stat – The hosts fired 16 fast break points and dropped 27 bench points to show their depth and ability to capitalise on any errors.

Game hero(es) – Cat Carr was MVP last year at The O2 and looked determined to return after leading the way with 23 points and 7 assists.
