There’s a debutante in our line-up this week from Riders, while another Leicester player moves within one appearance of topping our leaderboard for most starting five appearances.
Asha Thomas (FLT Peterman Sheffield Hatters)
The guard continues to breathe fire and her stunning 34 point haul in the dramatic win against Mystics witnessed Thomas make 6 triples. In the process, she became the first player in WBBL history to complete this feat twice. She also added 5 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 assists, making her our Player of the Week.
Simone Costa (Nottingham Wildcats)
The Portuguese claims her second spot of the campaign in our starting five after pouring in a season-high 27 points against Archers. It saw Nottingham claim the first victory of a win-double during what was an emotional weekend in the wake of the sad passing of club legend, Pauline Prior last week.
Stella Fouraki (Caledonia Pride)
The Play-Off hopes of the Scottish franchise are still very much alive after they collected a precious success against the visiting Oaklands Wolves. As has been the case all year, Fouraki was the inspiration for Pride and posted a monumental 16 point and 17 rebound double-double.
Christina Gaskin (Leicester Riders)
The frontcourt star was superb against her former club BA Lions as the Riders demolished their opponents in brutal fashion. Gaskin racks up her debut All-Star Five slot after a stellar all-action line of 13 points, 9 assists and 8 rebounds against the London side.
Kate Oliver (Leicester Riders)
Yes, it’s appearance number eight for the centre, who is now just one behind season All-Star Five leader, Jasmine Joyner of Nottingham. The latest berth for Oliver was down to her terrific 18 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals against Lions.
Off the bench – Cat Carr (Sevenoaks Suns), Jasmine Joyner (Nottingham Wildcats), Georgia Ohrdorf (Newcastle Eagles), Dom Allen (Manchester Mystics), Abby Rendle (Essex Rebels), Ella Clark (Leicester Riders), Cristina Bigica (Cardiff Met Archers).
