All Star Five – Week 6

There are two debutantes this week in our line-up and someone who continues her amazing ever-present run.

Chelsey Shumpert (Nottingham Wildcats)
It’s taken a while for the guard to book her first slot of the season in our starting five, but she has secured it in style. Shumpert fired the highest tally of any player this season when she scored a massive 36 points for Wildcats in their win against Wolves. Also completing a double-double with 10 boards, as well as handing out 5 assists – making her our Player of the Week!

Brea Elmore (Leicester Riders)
The dynamic Elmore was her typical all-action self in the big East Midlands derby win for Riders against Wildcats. The guard walked off the floor with an eye-catching line of 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists, having also shot more than 61% in the contest.

Georgia Ohrdorf (Newcastle Eagles)
Our second debutante is the popular Eagles’ forward, who has been on our bench multiple times this season but now deservedly gets a starting berth. That’s because she was outstanding in Newcastle’s terrific derby success at Durham, when Ohrdorf amassed a stellar 20 points and 17 rebounds.

Jasmine Joyner (Nottingham Wildcats)
Still unstoppable, we’re running out of superlatives for Joyner, who makes it a sixth straight appearance in our line-up. She recorded yet another double-double showing as she burned Oaklands Wolves with an impressive 20 points and 14 rebounds.

Kate Oliver (Leicester Riders)
The centre banked her third All-Star Five starting place of the campaign in Riders’ excellent success against local rivals Nottingham. She brought the noise in the paint with 25 points and also claimed a double-double by garnering 10 rebounds.

Off the bench – Georgia Jones (Manchester Mystics), Cat Carr (Sevenoaks Suns), Roshina Rosario (Peterman FLT Sheffield Hatters), Giulia Simioni (Newcastle Eagles), Stella Fouraki (Caledonia Pride), Andrea Kohlhaas (Essex Rebels), Sara Hinriksdottir (Leicester Riders).
