All-Star Five – Week 8

For the first time this season, four of our starting five all racked up efficiency scores in excess of 30, while a familiar face records her astonishing 8th straight appearance in our line-up.

Giulia Simioni – Newcastle Eagles
It’s been an outstanding few weeks for the Eagles and the Swiss guard was pulling the strings as usual. She put Cardiff Archers to the sword with a fine double-double of 21 points and 11 assists, also pulling down 4 boards and shooting 64% from the floor.

Georgia Jones – Manchester Mystics
The Great Britain playmaker controlled her team’s comfortable home victory against the visiting BA London Lions with her experience and quality shining through. Jones accumulated a fine double-double of 21 points and 11 assists in the contest.

Samantha Roscoe – Manchester Mystics
The Mystics’ forward was on fire in the home win against Lions and had a stunning line by the time the final buzzer had sounded. Roscoe finished the contest with a brilliant 23 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocked shots.

Jasmine Joyner – Nottingham Wildcats
We are running out of words to describe the feat of Joyner in maintaining her ever-present run in our starting five. Make it a phenomenal eight appearances in a row after she ended the 34 game winning streak of Suns by posting 22 points and 18 boards for the jubilant Wildcats.

Kate Oliver – Leicester Riders
Last but not least, Oliver walks away with our Player of the Week gong after a spectacular double-double. The Australian centre was unstoppable against Oaklands Wolves and carried Riders to victory with a superb 25 points and jaw-dropping 20 rebounds.
