Cardiff Met Archers have continued to bolster their 2020-21 roster with a duo returnee signing.
Levin Warren will make her seventh season with the club whilst Azeb Smalley will make her 12th season, having started off as undergraduate students at Cardiff Met.
“Both Warren and Smalley went on to do post-graduate degrees and represented us at BUCS, National League and at WBBL level,” explained Head Coach Stef Collins.
“They both are active coaches within our Junior academy which has been a great asset for inspiring the younger generation of players coming through.”
Warren is looking forward to returning to the court and hoping to build on from last year.
“Having been a part of this league since its inception, it’s been great to see the standard of play continue to improve season after season,” said Warren.
“The competition is a lot stronger and more competitive now and that’s down to the quality of the players.”
Smalley also said she could not wait to return to the floor with her teammates, crediting the WBBL as the best representation of British basketball.
“It’s been amazing to see how in the last decade the sport has evolved tremendously,” added Smalley.
“The quality of players continues to grow and the talent of youngsters coming through has been great to see.
“As soon as we get onto the floor, everyone will be focused towards one common goal: being the best competitive team in the WBBL.”
Archers 2020-21 roster now stands at eight, with more signings to be announced.
