Talented, young, dynamic point guard Beth Sarson has made the move to Essex Rebels.
Joining from Oaklands Wolves for Essex’s second WBBL season, Beth is a talented guard who has no difficulty shooting from outside the perimeter and poses a real threat to other teams if caught off guard.
Having spent the last few months working out with the team both on and off the court, she will start the season in great shape.
“Beth has joined us in excellent physical shape and a tremendous work ethic,” said Justin Mills, Head of Strength and Conditioning, Essex Rebels.
“She is exactly the type of player who will raise standards and push the performance of the team around her in training sessions.”
Beth added, “I’m excited to be a part of the Rebels. The off season has been very beneficial, and I can’t wait to see it all come together this season.”
Head Coach Tom Sadler is looking forward to having Beth appear alongside already re-signed Jessy Ward, and has already been impressed with the 5’7″ guard.
“Beth is an exciting player and we are looking forward to having her and Jessy lead our back court,” said Sadler.
“Her approach to workouts has really impressed us during the off season. She shows up consistently with a great attitude and work ethic that certainly pushes the other players around her.
“I think she will be a great player in this league in the coming years.”
