Gloucester land Metro Bank as headline sponsor for first season

Gloucester Basketball today announced a partnership with Metro Bank which has come on board as the headline sponsor for the 2021-22 season.

The Metro Bank logo is set to be centre stage on the brand-new kit for both the Gloucester City Queens in the WBBL, and Gloucester City Kings.

“We are extremely proud to have the support of Metro Bank and to announce our first major partnership,” said Gloucester Sport co-owner and Kings and Queens owner Alex Petheram.

“Metro Bank share our values and its community ethos aligns particularly well with our plans to integrate within the Gloucester community. Metro Bank’s people-first approach is a great fit for us and we are delighted to have their support for the forthcoming 2021-22 season.

Metro Bank local director, Chris Mapp, added, “As a community bank, we understand the importance and impact that local teams have on their community – inspiring children to take up sport, enjoy team sports and realise their dreams.”
