It always looked like it would be one of the best signings of the off-season and Alison Gorrell has certainly delivered since making the switch to Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters.
Her blistering form during the early part of the season has resulted in her scooping the first Molten WBBL Player of the Month accolade of the 2018-19 campaign.
The all-action Gorrell has inspired a strong start to the season for Hatters, with her performances reflected by the fact she is one of only two players to have featured in the weekly All-Star Five on three separate occasions.
She has racked up a dazzling 21 points, 5.8 assists and 2.4 steals per game – also shooting almost 50% from the field.
Gorrell had to see off some strong contenders to land the gong, including the likes of team-mate Sarah Toeaina, Great Britain guard Georgia Jones and the WBBL’s leading scorer Chelsey Shumpert.
