FLT Peterman Sheffield Hatters and Durham Palatinates both registered victories in the WBBL Championship on Sunday afternoon.
The Hatters were first to get a win on the board as they eased past Essex Rebels 68-58. It was primarily due to a classy 26 points from Asha Thomas who also had 7 assists, while Luiana Livulo provided a powerful 13 points and 14 rebounds.
The victory took Hatters to a positive 3-2 league record, while Durham got back on an even keel after their recent wobble, to move to 3-3.
Mollie Campbell impressed as she garnered 13 points and 7 rebounds in a 77-65 victory on the road at Caledonia Pride, while Nicole Fong Lyew Quee had a terrific shooting night to top score with 15 points. The loss was tough on Stella Fouraki who netted 26 points in defeat for Pride.
