Hatters, Archers and Riders shine on Sunday in the Championship

FLT Peterman Sheffield Hatters, Cardiff Met Archers and Leicester Riders enjoyed a super Sunday thanks to wins in the Championship.

Sheffield took the opportunity to make ground on the teams above them in the title race with a convincing 81-49 win over Caledonia Pride. Roshina Rosario led the home side to victory with 19 points.

It was a second win in 24 hours for Cardiff over Oaklands Wolves. This time the home side ran out 74-65 winners to move up to ninth in the standings. Sara Jorgensen’s 19 points proved pivotal to her side’s victory.

Finally, Leicester moved back into pole position in the table with a hard fought 63-61 win over fellow title contenders Newcastle Eagles. Sara Hinriksdottir stole the show for the visitors with a game defining 27 points.
