Patel handed another Molten WBBL Coach of the Month honour

Leicester Riders are standing tall and proud at the top of the standings and their play-caller Krumesh Patel has had his work recognised with another Molten WBBL Coach of the Month award.

The new league leaders are the form team at the moment, having still only lost once in the WBBL Championship all season. Last weekend they ended the perfect record of Sevenoaks Suns with a hard-fought 61-65 success on the road that tips the title race in their favour.

This pivotal victory came off the back of an East Midlands derby success against Nottingham, with Patel masterminding an 82-71 triumph against Wildcats.

Riders had opened the period with their biggest win of the campaign as they steamrollered an injury hit Team Northumbria 112-32.

In what is only his first campaign at the helm, this is the third time that Patel has picked up the monthly gong.
