Leicester play-caller Krumesh Patel has scooped his first individual accolade at the helm of Riders after being rewarded for a flawless November by being handed the Molten WBBL Coach of the Month gong.
Currently in his rookie season as head coach after taking the reins from Matt Harber, the former Assistant is doing an incredible job for his team, with Riders challenging for silverware on all fronts.
Patel masterminded a perfect November for his team with 3 wins from 3 outings – all of those commanding double-digit victories.
The month started off with a comfortable 76-65 road win at Oaklands Wolves and Riders slipped up a gear in their next fixture when they recorded an eye-catching 83-70 East Midlands derby success at Nottingham Wildcats.
They wrapped up a productive and memorable November by then sweeping aside title rivals Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters 90-74 in the WBBL Cup Quarter-Finals.
Patel just pipped Team Northumbria head coach Chris Bunten to the award, with the north-east club also going unbeaten
