Cardiff Met Archers have confirmed they will once again reap the benefits of having young Welsh star Chloe Richards on their roster for the forthcoming 2018-19 WBBL campaign.
Richards will link up with her club and country team-mate Laura Shanahan, who along with player-coach Stef Collins, gives the club much needed and valuable continuity from last year.
“I am so excited to be back representing Cardiff Met Archers in WBBL this season,” commented Richards.
“With preseason looming, I look forward to reuniting with some old teammates as well as meeting the fresh talent we have added to our team this year.
“The WBBL has been a great platform for women’s basketball in Wales so far with more girls getting inspired and involved with the game.”
She added: “I am grateful to be a part of the league and I am excited to compete against the best players in the UK, while continuing to be a role model for young female Welsh basketball players.”
The 20-year-old, who amassed almost 20 minutes per game last season and landed a WBBL career-best 17 points against Manchester, will be looking to shift up a gear as Archers try to improve on last year’s 8th place finish.
