Social Media Spotlight: A special parcel, a grassy knoll and some other stuff

The biggest news of the week was Nottingham Wildcats trying to take delivery of their new signing through a makeshift letterbox.

And our quip that it wasn’t a guard but a ‘Post Player’ was well received.

Wildcats won down in Cardiff against an Archers team who were highly competitive and look dangerous. Even if they didn’t enjoy the result, they certainly loved the photoshoot with the WBBL’s very own Mansoor Ahmed.

Elsewhere, there were more special numbers for WBBL rookie Gianna Woods who is lighting it up in a big way for Hatters.

She made it into our All-Star Five again….!

Woods racked up a hat-trick and made a statement that she was not going to relent!

Away from the court, Oaklands Wolves have been doing some outstanding work with the community and schools!

Sazzy10 aka Sarah Thomson of Caledonia Pride stood on a grassy knoll with some fellow athletes hoping it wasn’t going to drizzle…..But it was to promote a great cause to push more women into sport and well worth it!

Basketball to feature in new @scotwomensport initiative, #GirlsDoSport. More in our live story.
