Sevenoaks Suns, Leicester Riders, Caledonia Pride and Nottingham Wildcats all picked up crucial wins on an eventful Sunday of Championship action.
Cat Carr ensured Sevenoaks ran out 86-58 winners over Essex Rebels, thanks to a game-high 18 points, as the veteran star kept the club’s title defence on track.
Caledonia then picked up a vital 73-55 win against Oaklands Wolves, to keep dreams of the post-season alive. Stella Fouraki stole the show for the home side with 16 points and 17 rebounds.
Elsewhere, Leicester maintained their position at the top of the standings with a thumping 110-35 win over BA London Lions. Sara Hinriksdottir led a balanced attack with 19 points as Head Coach Jesper Sundberg picked up his 50th win across all WBBL competitions.
Finally, Nottingham enjoyed their second victory of the weekend, topping Manchester Mystics 66-65 in what proved to be a hard-fought two points. Jasmine Joyner amassed an 18 point, 11 rebound double-double for the Wildcats. The visitors, on the other hand, were again on the wrong end of another thrilling contest having fallen in similar fashion yesterday.
