Nottingham Wildcats have been one of the most consistent sides in WBBL history, though not as successful as they’d have liked having been runners-up on six separate occasions.
Last season: Nottingham were knocked out of the Cup in the Quarter-Finals by Sheffield Hatters having also been beaten by Durham Palatinates as they missed out on a spot in the Trophy Final.
The Wildcats had an 11-7 record in the league as untimely defeats halted their charge amongst the chasing pack.
Back again: Experienced leader Siobhan Prior is ready for another campaign in the WBBL having been ever-present for the Wildcats.
American guard Chelsey Shumpert impressed in her first year in the UK and is joined again by Portugal’s Simone Costa in the back-court, while Tia Freeman also returns.
Junior prospects Shaniya Rose and Praise Egharevba, of Germany, will have a chance to shine and add needed depth to the Wildcats roster.
New faces: Nottingham are yet to confirm any new additions to the squad, though more announcements are expected before their season opener this weekend.
Outlook: The Wildcats have never missed out on the Play-Offs since the WBBL began, but will be determined to get back amongst the contenders for silverware.
