Wolves beat Archers to take a big step in playoff push

Oaklands Wolves beat Cardiff Met Archers 70-46 to take a bigstep in the race for the last remaining playoff spot.

Oaklands started well and were on top in in the early exchanges. They led by seven after the first quarter with the score at 22-15, a lead they would hold until the final whistle.

They limited Archers to just eight points in the second quarter whilst adding 13 of there own to extend their lead to 36-23 at the half time break.

Oaklands kicked on in the third and played out the last comfortably to win by a margin of 24 points. The victory sees them stay in eighth place while the loss means Archers can no longer make the playoffs.

Greeta Uprus led the scoring charts for Wolves with 15 points and seven rebounds while Amari Carter narrowly missed out on a double-double performance, finishing with nine points and 10 rebounds
